Do you ever find it difficult to zero in on one subject or capture a coherent thought long enough to deal with it because of the many things popping in and out of your mind like a nervous jack rabbit? That’s my dilemma this morning. Much waits for my attention today while I’m still gathering up the threads from yesterday and trying to tie them in with tomorrow.
Yesterday was a summer sizzler which actually called for me to go find a clear-running creek, lie on my back on a nice bed of grass, and contemplate cloud shapes. I didn’t do that. But, by the end of the day, I had exercised, had lunch with a friend, written a bit more on MCBM, talked to someone at church about a possible speaking engagement regarding my books this fall, dusted furniture and watered flowers. Just a little of this and a little of that.
Tomorrow we cozy critters will meet for a long over-due critique. We may have some new people this time and that is exciting. And we of the original crew will have much to share with each other. Today, I must write, exercise, and organize a room which now is all topsy turvy.
So, today, I’ll gather up the threads of yesterday, weave them in with today and let tomorrow take care of itself. “There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour” (Ecclesiastes 2:24).
Love the picture!
Thanks, Helen. She’s my little Cabbage Patch from Cleveland, Georgia, where she was “born.” I don’t know if the “hospital” is still there but it was a fun place to visit…baby dolls were found under cabbages and bells would sound and there in the nursery would be a new Cabbage Patch baby.
