Celebrating Springtime

Celebrating Springtime

How many different conversations can go on around a lunch table simultaneously? I didn’t count women nor conversations yesterday but a bunch of us chattered away as we munched on salads, bread, and dessert. The table was Fran’s and that’s why the food and fun were possible. I look forward to these monthly luncheons. It is a special outreach designed by a special lady.

Before the luncheon, I worked a bit in my flowers. Maybe I can re-pot a few more today, before the rain gets here. And, I hope and pray that rain is all we get, no severe storms.

The robins have discovered the water fountain. It was really neat to see them light near the pool, fluff their feathers, and dip their bills into the running water. I imagine the sound of the water is one thing that draws them; hopefully, it’ll bring in butterflies too.

As I re-read this morning’s post, I’m struck by the fact that I’ve mentioned simple things: friends, fellowship, flowers, birds. Simple and yet so very complex and irreplaceable. Things to be treasured, happy times to be tucked away in the heart. I’m grateful for each of them.
