Moody, Mysterious March

If ever there was a month not to be trusted, it’s March! For example, it is a mere thirty degrees this morning, the roofs wear coatings of frost, and a slight breeze barely stirs last year’s leaves. Sounds like a pretty lamb-like start to a new month, right? This is the month when spring officially begins, isn’t it? And, more birds will return, take up residence, and fill the air with song. Such an idyllic thought! However, look out! If the weatherman is right, we’d better enjoy today because sometime, maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow morning, the lamb-like disguise will slip and March may roar like a lion with ice on his breath. Of all the weather forms, ice is my least favorite. So, I, like many others, will trek to the grocery store this morning and stock up on supplies. Hopefully, it won’t be as bad as forecast. But, who knows? As I said, March is a month not to be trusted!
