Books! They’ve always been a big part of my life. Books and reading. And, writing. Having written my first story at a pretty young age, I realized I loved it and have been writing since. Of course, reading comes right along with that. Where would I have been without a love for reading and books. The thing of it is, after many years of buying books upon books, new books, used books, books of many different subjects, I realized I was overwhelmed. Boxes of books that wouldn’t fit into shelves sat in my garage, not doing anybody in the world any earthly good.
So, I solved that problem by buying another book shelf which Sara volunteered to put together for me. Thank you, Sara. Putting things together is not my strong point, unless it’s putting words together to form a mystery. Anyway, a new book shelf came to live at my house. After much soul searching and box searching and just searching, I filled that book shelf, but tons of books were left over with nowhere to go. So, I boxed books and took them to a local re-sale shop. Still, there were books I could not bear to get rid of so, back into boxes and back into the garage they went. By the way, it’s dry out there and stored books do not mildew. They look as fresh and crisp as they did when I put them away.
Now, my house looks much neater. The books have places to be, and I can concentrate on writing–you guessed it–yet more books. It may not be an ideal remedy, but it works for me!
