Yesterday was just that kind of day. March hadn’t arrived yet; didn’t the wind know that? Was it just practicing for a really Big Blow? Whatever the reason, it was a windy day. Sunny, chilly, windy. It was a Baking Carrot Cupcakes and Picking Jonquils kind of day. So, that’s what I did–bakedĀ cupcakes, picked jonquils.
The wind sounded like a whole herd of thundering horses, tearing through the countryside. Of course, it wasn’t horses; it was just a practice run for March. When the wind roars around the corner of the house, knocks at the windows and moans down the chimney, what does it sound like to you?
