The view from my front room window is different this morning–lawns are covered in white. So far, we don’t have much but it sure is pretty. It makes the darkness light, covers over the not-so-pretty things, and paints the world with peace and beauty,
As we hurry to do last minute chores to get ready for tomorrow and Monday, let’s pause to be thankful for all of God’s blessings. The snow will melt and go away but God is eternal. He brings light into a dark world and covers our sins and selfishness with his transfiguring love.
Silence
by Blanche Day Manos
A soft and drowsy, downy day; the sky is furry, blurry gray.
No wind to blow the snow away in patches.
The trees are draped with frozen lace; the meadow is an arctic place,
While house and barn, with wintry grace, wear thatches.
