Mocha Coffee and Flying Fingers

Mocha Coffee and Flying Fingers

The mercury shivers at fifteen degrees this morning. Yesterday morning I was so excited! Snow was falling in NW Arkansas. It was beautiful. However, it did not last; the cold did. The heater blower on my furnace went out a few days ago and I am very thankful that a few hours later, it was fixed. It’s nice to have a warm house.

Yesterday, Nemo caught a squirrel. First time ever in all his years. My back yard abounds with the furry little rodents and he has fun chasing them but yesterday, he actually got one. I had no idea until he tried to bring it into the house. Poor squirrel.

Two writing deadlines are closing in on me, so you know of course, what I did yesterday. Good progress. I’ll get there!

Deciding that I would celebrate the pretty snow and also give myself an incentive to stay at the keyboard, I went to McDonald’s for one of their mint mocha coffees with extra whipped cream. Guess what? They were having a two for the price of one, so I brought two mochas home and downed them while I wrote. No wonder I accomplished so much…my jittery fingers fairly flew over the computer keys.004

This is Sunday, the Lord’s Day but then, every day is His day, isn’t it? I will rejoice and be glad in it and, maybe get Darcy out of that tangle she got herself into yesterday and see what’s she’s doing today.

  1. Good morning, it sure is cold out there. Good day to light the fire after church and settle down with a good cozy book.

Yes, it is! I’m really glad my furnace is going now and also thankful I had the fireplace to fall back on.

  2. Hmm, love your motivation for writing!!
