Does it seem to you that a quiet type of peace and joy radiate from our hearts at Christmastime? With all the rush and hurry, suddenly Christmas is here and we pause to reflect on the Baby born so long ago in Bethlehem.
Snow still outlines the eaves and snugs up against tree trunks–just wisps and remnants; but, the weatherman says today there’ll be more flurries and light, freezing drizzle.
Last night, I was blessed to visit with relatives from Tahlequah that I don’t often see, and a second cousin who now lives in England but was home for a visit.
From all over the globe, people are flocking home for Christmas. Home, where the welcome is warmer, hearts are lighter, love is a surety, and where we can rejoice in the tie that binds us all together.
May each of you have a happy Christmas, piled high with the wonders that can’t be wrapped and put under a tree. I appreciate each of you and send you this heart-felt blessing:
Wishing you the peace of candlelight, the warmth of firelight,
And the love of Christ to light your life throughout the coming year.
Merry Christmas to you too, Blanche! 🙂 🙂
Thank you, Kimberly. I hope you and Duke have a wonderful day.
Thanks for such a beautiful Christmas blog! Who is the cousin from England?
